Herman Miller - My Studio Environments
The Best of Competition Gold Award

An innovative concept in open-plan workspace design by designer Doug Ball, My Studio Environments is a user-centered solution featuring elements that enhance physical and psychological well-being and instill a personal sense of ownership.

Herman Miller – Leaf Lighting
Gold Award

The new Leaf Personal Light by Yves Behar and his San Francisco-based design firm, fuseproject, represents the future of lighting. Twenty LEDs (light emitting diodes) create an interactive experience, allowing control of both the color and intensity of illumination. With the touch of a finger, Leaf emits a warm, ambient glow or a cool, blue effect.

Steelcase Leap

The Leap Chair, first introduced at NeoCon in 1999, has undergone a transformation based on the evolving needs of users. Improved in four key areas - performance, aesthetics, ease of use and environmental effectiveness - some highlights of the refreshed Leap Chair include:

  • New single back height and revised shape for improved back support
  • New arm depth adjustment that enables users to get closer to their work and provide better support for reclining
  • Front seat edge automatically flexes with users' movements (eliminating a manual control)
  • Slimmer and sleeker design with a 3" reduction in external width, but same useable sitting space to allow the chair to fit in smaller areas
  • 3D-knit upholstery option for the back provides an alternative aesthetic with exceptional comfort

Humanscale Access Rail
Gold Award

The Access Rail system is a series of rails, posts, and specialized components that can be infinitely configured to fit any number of tables, desks, or workstations. It provides a unique and readily accessible place for mounting workplace tools, such as monitors, phones, task lights, printers/fax machines, paper management, etc., making tools easier to access while conserving desktop space.

Humanscale’s Cinto
NeoCon introduction

Cinto (belt in Spanish) offers a new level of comfort in its class. True to its name, a belt attaches the backrest to the chair's frame. This belt, explains Humanscale, allows the backrest to move with the body, offering ample recline and exceptional comfort for this moderately priced chair.
